The Process and Planning Your A/V Budget

Do it Right.
Planning Your AV Budget.

This is a tough topic to discuss in a general sense. We try to customize everything we do to the specific client needs and desires. But we also understand budgets, and will always strive to keep you where you want to be.

Where Do I Start?

Of course your first call should be to EOC Audio, the design and installation professionals. I suggest working with us to create the overall concept of what you want to do first. Once that’s established, we will design a system that will accomplish everything you want it to and we can discuss the options and the overall costs.

Step One - New Construction or Re-Model

Let’s talk. If it is a new construction or remodel project getting us the plans is a great first step. Then we can sit down with you to discuss all of the possibilities, we can meet with you at your place, our offices and showroom or wherever you want. Sitting down and having a conversation is a critical part of the entire process.

The initial steps are the same for a retro project, although meeting at your home initially really gives us some insight and often some inspiration for things that are possible for your new project.

We will present all of the options available, discuss the wide variety of services we offer and begin the process together.

“Meeting and exceeding your expectations, while providing a simple to use control platform, and making sure we are using the latest technology for maximum performance and reliability, are EOC standards that we will not compromise on”.

Step Two

“Each project has unique needs that must be addressed and our designers will put you at ease by listening to your goals and desires and they will help to establish your initial working budget”.

Once we have established a concept of what you would like to have happen for your new project we will have a lot of questions for you as well as answer all of yours, then we can start working on narrowing the focus.

We utilize the expertise of our in-house specialists in fields ranging from acoustical engineering, to automation and ease-of-use. Our system designers additionally collaborate with our engineering team who are passionate about their specialties and constantly evaluating new home technology products and solutions. The result, you receive the highest performing solution for your budget

Step Three

We will present our proposal to you and go over it in detail, making sure we have created a plan that meets your needs and budget. If it is all as you anticipated then we get a deposit and get started as soon as possible.

Step Three and a Half

If we need to make some changes, then we add and remove specific concepts as needed. With a revised concept in mind, we recreate the proposal and get it ready for another presentation.

Step Four

Get Pre-Wired!
If you are building a new home, and you leave this article with one bit of knowledge, let it be this:
DO NOT SKIMP ON WIRING!

EOC Audio can easily add new products and devices to homes that have existing wiring done right. If you don’t know what to wire for, pull at least one Category-rated cable (Cat6, for example) to every TV location along with the RG6 coaxial cable. And if possible, install a conduit that runs from the location of your main electronics up to the attic.
